On Friday, Feb. 22 the Barbourville Lady Tigers Claimed their first 51st District Championship and the Lady Tigers Cheerleaders Won 1st Place overall in the tournament cheerleading competition.
Alexander Phipps, currently a Junior at Barbourville High School, advanced to the statewide swim meet and will participate in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle events in Louisville on February 22nd - 23rd. Alexander is the son of Dinky and Lisa Phipps.
Alexander finished 7th place in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle event at the state swim meet.
Senior, Devon Mills recently surpassed the 1000 point mark as a Tiger. He finished his career with a 33 point game against Clay County in the regional tournament.
The Lady Tigers Golf Team Finished Runner-up To Russell County At Burnside State Park. They Were Only Five Strokes From Winning It All. The Girls Will Travel To Bowling Green Country Club On October 10 - 12 To Compete
