Chip Hyden is a first grade teacher at Barbourville Elementary School. After graduating from Union College, she began her teaching experience here as an instructional assistant and primary grade teacher.
Chip has had many rewarding experiences since her career began, but she feels "the saddest time at our school was when our high school was destroyed by fire." She is appreciative of the new high school as well as the addition to our elementary building. She understands that "a good learning environment makes a great difference in children's learning."
Chip desires to devote her entire career to the "little school" as well as to enroll her own future children here one day.
