1987 Barbourville High School graduate Jess Williams will be the speaker at the class of 2002’s graduation exercises scheduled for May 10th at 7:30 p.m.
Prior to joining Premier Solutions, Jess was Vice President of Client Services at Stonebridge Technologies where he was responsible for offices in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Birmingham, Orlando, and Tampa. He also started and developed the Nashville office, outperforming many of the longer running regional offices. Jess was instrumental in developing their Solutions practice into an award-winning technology solutions provider. Jess’ position before Stonebridge was that of Vice President of Information Technology at Conseco. Conseco is one of middle America’s leading sources for insurance, investment, and lending products. Among his many distinctions, he was the youngest elected Vice President of Conseco. Before Conseco, Jess served as Project Manager at USA Group. USA Group, which was acquired by Sallie Mae, is the nation’s leading provider of education loan services. Jess held several key roles contributing to the success of USA Group. All of these accomplishments and skyrocketing career growth began with Jess accepting a position of Systems Engineer with Humana in Louisville, Kentucky. Humana is a leader in American health care. Born in August 1969, Jess grew up in Barbourville, Kentucky and graduated from Barbourville High School in 1987. In 1991, he graduated cum laude from Berea College with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and an emphasis in computer science. In 1997, Jess earned an MBA in strategic management from the University of Indianapolis where he graduated at the top of his class, qualifying him for admission into Delta Mu Delta. Jess married Tracy Payne in June 1992 after she graduated from Berea College. They have three children: Hannah (3), Andrew (2) and Emma (3 months). |
