Kay Burgess is one of our fourth grade teachers at Barbourville Elementary. She graduated "a long time ago" from Eastern Kentucky University and began just this year her 29th year of teaching experience with our school.
Kay enjoys devising bulletin boards and experimenting with classroom decoration as a method to enhance learning.
She has two sons, Ryan and Travis, both of whom where graduates of Barbourville High (Ryan in the Class of 1992 and Travis in 2000). In her spare time, Kay likes to attend University of Kentucky basketball and football games.
