C. Paul Middleton was appointed Principal of the new one district school: Barbourville City School as announced by Superintendent Larry Warren at the July 7, 2005 regular Board meeting. Kathryn “Katy” Jones was appointed Assistant Principal. They will administer the P-12 grades with the approximately 600 students. For the past 13 years the District had been in a P-6 grades, and 7-12 grades’ configuration. Before then, Barbourville had been a single district school.
  Mr. Warren announced also that the Site-Based Decision Making (SBDM) councils had dissolved as of July 1 due to the realignment into one school and the the Kentucky Department of Education had assigned us another identification number.
